htaccess Manager Lite
A PHP based htaccess script used to manage multiple username / password combinations for .htaccess / .htpasswd directory protection.
Using this script you will be able to add / modify / delete users from your .htpasswd files via the simple to use web based interface.
The htaccess tool will enable you to create a password protected directory in no time. With multiple directory support included, the htaccess generator will automatically create the files required for you to begin adding your users details.
The script will also inform you whenever there are new updates available for you to download!
What is a .htaccess file?
.htaccess is the default name of Apache`s directory-level configuration file. It provides the ability to customize configuration directives. The configuration directives need to be in .htaccess context and the user needs appropriate permissions.
What is a .htpasswd file?
The .htpasswd file is where the username / password combinations are stored. The file is then referenced by the .htaccess file to determine if a user has access to the directory.
